Hello and happy November, dear friends! November, my best beloved and most exacting month of the twelve.
A friend’s text message this morning reminded me that my “radio silence” has been a bit extended. ‘Tis true.
I write in my mind almost constantly - jotting down inkless ideas & notes about what to share about this, how to describe that, and who might benefit from hearing this or that. But from now through Thanksgiving, most of those ponderings will have to remain up there as seedlings, awaiting transplant to paper and screen until the end of the harvests that require hands and backs and working from dark to dark. (For a cozy read & glimpse into the hustle of our harvest season, visit Fall on Brush Arbor Farmstead.)
So I just wanted to check in with you, and pull back the curtain on real life around the farm, while I’ve got my head down & hand to the plow through Thanksgiving.
Once Substack has their “Chat” app launched for Android users, I look forward to more regular check-ins like this in a format where you can share your pictures & stories right back.
Wonderful reader, thank you for being patient with me. There are so many plates spinning, wonderful things in the works right now that I can’t wait to share with you through the winter, when I can slow down and sink my teeth into writing more, and connecting with you.
And if you have a minute, I would just absolutely relish hearing from you and learning what life holds for you this season. What are you harvesting? What are you putting away for winter? What are you plowing? How is nature keeping you on your toes? Where is your heart this season?
Thank you for being here. My gratitude far exceeds what I can express without having you over for dinner and feeding you at my table. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and my your cup overfloweth during this season of Thanksgiving.
Cheers to you friend,
Amanda
